About
Narrabeen FC

At Narrabeen FC, we’re proud to be a grassroots football club that puts players first. We believe every player deserves to enjoy football in a safe, fair, and fun environment.

We also understand that everyone plays for different reasons, whether you’re starting your football journey, playing for fun with friends, or aiming to compete at the highest level possible.

Our responsibility is to support those goals and make sure every player loves the game.

At Narrabeen FC, there’s a place for everyone.

OUR HISTORY

Narrabeen Football Club – A Proud Community Legacy

Narrabeen Football Club is part of the Narrabeen Youth Club (NYC), a cornerstone of our local community since 1965, when Ted Blackwood and a small group of passionate locals founded the club. Bill Gooding served as the first President, and from 1966 to 2008, Ted led with dedication. Today, Ted proudly holds the title of Club Patron.

In 2025, we celebrated 50 years of sporting excellence, a milestone that reflects decades of commitment to youth and community sport and today, Narrabeen Football Club is proud to have over 1,100 registered players and volunteers.

Our Home at Boondah Fields

When the club began, there was no official clubhouse. In 1975, NYC purchased a building from Narrabeen RSL for just $1. Scheduled for demolition, the building was cut into three pieces, moved, and reassembled at its current location on the corner of Boondah and Jacksons Roads. Thanks to Ted and countless volunteers, the Boondah fields have remained a vital space for local sport.

A Club for Generations

Many of our current adult members and committee once played as juniors and now have children of their own wearing the Narrabeen FC jersey. Our football program continues to grow through a healthy focus on grassroots development, women’s football, and senior teams and behind it all is a dedicated committee of volunteers who work tirelessly to keep the spirit of community sport alive.
